The Trevor Project

Providing prevention services to the young lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) community is what The Trevor Project does best. Formed after the creation of the movie Trevor, TTP has served as the only nationwide, around-the-clock suicide prevention and crisis hotline. They also provide online assistance to those in need.

Some of the services provided are:
  1. The Trevor Lifeline - talked to trained counselors 24/7
  2. Trevorchat - online messaging service available on Fridays 1-5PM PST and 4-8PM EST
  3. TrevorSpace - social networking site for LGBTQ ages 13-24
  4. online question and answer resource
  5. Trevor Survival Kit - classroom tool to assist discussion about suicide, personal identity and sexuality
Other resources are also available on the website.

For those who would like to assist The Trevor Project in their mission, they can volunteer their time or donate.

If  you or someone you know needs information or someone to talk to, call 866-4-U-TREVOR (866-488-7386) or visit the website at http://www.thetrevorproject.org/.
